The foundation of their partnership dates back to their college days at Lovely Professional University. What started as a shared passion for music and entrepreneurship gradually evolved into a long-term vision. Unlike many who rush into startups without preparation, Akash and Shashank chose a more strategic path. They first gained professional experience, built industry understanding, and saved capital before taking the entrepreneurial leap.

On 25th December 2020, they officially launched Being Musical Records, marking the beginning of their journey. The label was created with a clear mission—to promote quality music while providing a platform for emerging artists who often struggle to find visibility in a competitive industry. Their focus on meaningful content and fresh talent quickly helped them carve a niche in the independent music space.
